This specimen was lot 10195 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €288 (about US$300). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 2 Skilling, 1648. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik III. NGC AU-58. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." The SCWC records several two skilling struck in 1648: KM 132, KM 157 (shown here) and KM 158. This one, struck 1648-49, has the reverse legend "NOR·VAN·GOTO·ELEC:R:(ax)", referring to Frederick's status as king elect but not yet crowned.

Specification: 1.19 g, 0.281 fine silver, 17.6 mm diameter.
