This specimen was lot 10199 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €456 (about US$475). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 2 Skilling, 1649. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik III. NGC AU-58. Bright luster. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." The SCWC records a pair of two skilling struck in 1649: KM 157 and 158 (shown here). This one, struck 1648-51, has the reverse legend "NOR·VAN·GOTO·Q·REX", referring to Frederick's status as king crowned, not just king elect.
