This specimen was lot 44294 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 2 Decimos, 1871. Medellin Mint. PCGS VF-20 Gold Shield. Solid for grade with gray toning. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type of 1870-72 is the first of this denomination to use the liberty head. Popayan did not issue this type and Bogota did not produce its first twenty centavos until 1874.
