This specimen was part of lot 44296 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), which sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. Lot of (2) 1/2 Decimos & (2) 5 Centavos, 1871, 1872 (2), & 1882. Various Mints. VF-35, EF-40, & AU-50 (2) (PCGS). 4 pieces in lot. 1871-Medellin PCGS AU-50, dark toned, ...From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type of 1870-72 is the second of this denomination to use the liberty head. The first, KM 150.2, was a temporary issue only 0.666 fine.
