This type was struck at Bogotá (shown here) and Popayan 1863-66 and represents the last of the cornucopias-and-pomegranate design before the introduction of the liberty head in 1868. It is scarce from both mints, particularly from Popayan.
Recorded mintage: 96,000.
Specification: 2.5 g, 0.900 fine silver, 0.072 troy oz ASW.
