Colombia 1864-B decimo
The first specimen shown was lot 1127 in Sedwick sale 11 (Winter Park, FL, April 2011), where it sold for $166.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Bogotá, Colombia, 1 decimo, 1864. Nice XF (rare grade) with muted luster and deep, colorful toning all over." The second specimen was lot 44251 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[2] noted, "COLOMBIA. Decimo, 1864. Bogota Mint. MS-65 (PCGS). Fully lustrous with gorgeous gray and iridescent toning. A real gem quality example. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This décimo, an early effort at a decimal coinage, was struck 1863-66 at Bogotá and Popayán.
