The specimen shown was lot 1128 in Sedwick sale 11 (Winter Park, FL, April 2011), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Popayán, Colombia, 1 decimo, 1864, encapsulated ANACS EF 45, ex-Dana Roberts collection. Deeply toned and accurately graded (rare grade for this type). Pedigreed to the Dana Roberts collection." This décimo, an early effort at a decimal coinage, was struck 1863-66 at Bogotá and Popayán.
Recorded mintage: 39,000.
Specification: 2.5 g, 0.900 fine silver, .072 troy oz ASW.
