The specimen shown is a half décimo from the Bogotá mint, one of a type struck 1863-65 while the country was known as the "Estados Unidos de Colombia." The design was changed to a liberty head style in 1868-71. The type is not rare but scarce in nice condition.
Recorded mintage: 28,000 for 1863-64.
Specification: 1.25 g, 0.900 fine silver, .036 troy oz ASW.
