The specimen shown was lot 1629 in the Eliasberg sale, where it sold for $506. The catalog description[1] noted, "1863 1 peso. Medellin mint. Types as above. Medium gold, planchet flaw in lower left obverse field, some handling marks, central reverse strike a bit soft. A scarce one year type. From the John H. Clapp Collection; Clapp estate to Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr., 1942."

Recorded mintage: 11,000.
