This specimen was lot 2060 in Goldberg sale 122 (Los Angeles, June 2021), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "China. 50 Yuan, 2004. 5 Ounces .999 silver. Panda walking with cub. Brilliant Proof." The Chinese government has, since the mid 1980's, produced a mind boggling array of bullion related collectibles. A complete set is thousands of types yet buyers clamor for more. This monstrous piece was topped by a 300 yuan (KM 1536) which contained 1 kilo of silver.

Specification: 155.5 g, 0.999 fine silver, 70 mm diameter, 5 troy oz ASW.
