Sincona sale 97, lot 1178

This specimen was lot 1178 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 325 CHF (about US$472 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA Volksrepublik. 10 Yuan 1997, Shenyang Mint. Panda. Grosse Jahreszahl. NGC MS69. (Peoples Republic of China, ten yuan of 1997, Shanghai mint, panda series, Large date.)" Other ten yuan for 1997 included KM 595, 982, 983, 986, KM 988, 996, 1002, 1003, 1004, 1012, 1013.1, 1013.2, 1014, 1017, 1028, 1029, KM 1031, 1032, KM 1033, 1037, 1038, 1039, 1041, 1042, KM 1045, 1047, 1051, 1053, 1054, 1055, 1056, 1059, 1059a, KM 1060, 1060a, 1062, 1063, 1072, 1073, 1074, 1075, 1076, 1077, 1078, 1079, 1080, 1084, 1085, 1086, 1087, 1091, 1093, 1094, 1095, 1096, KM 1097, 1108 and P30. China's deluge of NCLT's was in full spate in 1997.
