This specimen was lot 31204 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $1,110. The catalog description[1] noted, "China: People's Republic gold "Large Date" Panda 50 Yuan 1992 MS69 NGC, Shenyang mint. An especially bright example of this Panda variety, starkly accented by areas of thick frost incorporated into the stylized designs. Attractive, and approaching perfection in its grade."

Recorded mintage: 26,495 plus proofs.

Specification: 15.55 g, 0.999 fine gold.
