This specimen was lot 74076 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE. 4 Reales, 1801-So AJ. Santiago Mint. Charles IV. PCGS FINE-15. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck at Santiago 1792-1808 in limited numbers and, tho not common, is much less rare than preceding types. Despite the insignificant mintage, this date obtains only a slight premium in the SCWC.
