This specimen was lot 74051 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $1,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE. Escudo, 1798-So DA. Santiago Mint. Charles IV. PCGS Genuine--Tooled, VF Details. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck at Santiago 1792-1808 in limited numbers. Tho priced low in the SCWC, it is much rarer than the accompanying eight escudos.
