Sincona sale 76, lot 1735

This specimen was lot 1735 in Sincona sale 76 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 550 CHF (about US$668 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SPAIN | Königreich. Enrique II. König von Kastilien und Leon, 1369-1379. Real o. J. Toledo. Vierpass mit den Wappen von Kastilien und Leon. Rv. Gekrönte ligierte gotische Buchstaben EN im doppelten Schriftkreis. Vorzüglich. NGC AU55. Feine Patina. (kingdom of Spain, Henry II, king of Castile and Leon, 1369-79, undated real, Toledo mint. Obverse: quadrilobe with arms of Castile and Leon; reverse: crowned monogram "EN" within a two row legend. Extremely fine, Nicely toned.)"

Cayón notes that this undated type was struck at Burgos, Cordoba, Coruña, Cuenca, Seville and Toledo (shown here) with a face value of three maravedis.
