This specimen was lot 46083 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $504. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN. Real, ND (1369-79)-B. Burgos Mint. Henry II. PCGS AU-53 Gold Shield. An attractive example of the type, with decent strike details and gray to tan toning throughout." Cayón states that this coin had a face value of three maravedis at the time of issue. It was struck at Burgos (shown here), Cordoba, Coruña, Cuenca, Seville and Toledo. It was the largest silver coin of the reign.
