This specimen was lot 23427 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $763.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V 10 Cents 1913 Broad Leaves, XF40 NGC, medium gray toning, a nicely struck example of this scarce variety." This type, struck at Ottawa 1920-36, is common in grades up thru About Uncirculated tho the years 1933-35 are scarce. The Broad Leaves variety shown here is priced forty times the value of the Small Leaves variety.

Recorded mintage: 3,613,937 (all varieties).

Specification: 2.31 g, 0.925 fine silver, .069 troy oz ASW, 18 mm diameter, reeded edge.
