Künker sale 386, part of lot 5067

This specimen was part of lot 5067 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), which sold for €320 (about US$414 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, FÜRSTENTUM, Karl I. 1735-1780. 24 Mariengroschen 1736, 1767, Zellerfeld. 2 Stück., Feine Patina, vorzüglich. (duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, Charles I, 1735-80, Charles I, 1735-80, 24 mariengroschen of 1736 amd 1767, Zellerfeld mint. Two pieces, fine patina, extremely fine.)"

This gulden was struck 1735-80 along with another type (KM 895) featuring the leaping stallion reverse.
