This specimen was lot 32859 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $180. The catalog description[1] noted, "Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. Karl I 8 Gute Groschen 1760-IDB MS64 PCGS. Quite scarce in this state of preservation, this example is currently the finest graded at both NGC and PCGS, with only one other specimen achieving mint-state certification at the MS63 level." This type was struck 1759-62 along with a 16 gute groschen and a thaler (Dav-2150).
