Künker sale 293, lot 524

This specimen was lot 524 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €2,300 (about US$3,100 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, HERZOGTUM August der Jüngere, 1635-1666. Löser zu 1 1/2 Reichstalern 1664, Zellerfeld. Mit Wertpunze. Preussag Collection (Auktion London Coin Galleries/Künker 1) 69 (dieses Exemplar). Feine Tönung, fast vorzüglich. Exemplar der Preussag Collection, Part I. Auktion London Coin Galleries/Künker 1, London 2015, Nr. 69. (duchies of Brunswick-Luneburg and Brunswick Wolfenbuttel, Augustus the Younger, 1635-66, 1½ thaler of 1664, Zellerfeld mint, with denomination punch. Fine toning, about extremely fine.)"
