This specimen was lot 940 in Jean Elsen sale 164 (Brussels, March 2026), where it sold for €320 (about US$446 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRABANT, Duché, Philippe IV (1621-1665), AR ducaton, 1632, Bruxelles. Premier type. D/ B. cuirassé à d., une grande fraise au col. R/ Écu couronné, tenu par deux lions. En dessous, le bijou de la Toison d'or. Beau à Très Beau. (duchy of Brabant, Philip IV, 1621-65, Brussels mint, Obverse: draped and armored bust right; reverse: two lions support large crowned royal arms, decorated with the Order of the Golden Fleece. Fine - Very Fine.)"

This type, issued 1624-36 from Antwerp (hand mintmark) and Brussels (angel face mintmark, shown here) is scarce but not rare. The other provinces issued this type, including Artois, Flanders and Tournai.
