This specimen was lot 1164 in Jean Elsen sale 160 (Brussels, November 2024), where it sold for €5,000 (about US$6,330 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRABANT, Duché, Philippe IV (1621-1665), AR ducaton, 1632, Bruxelles. Premier type. Piéfort de poids double. D/ B. cuir. à d., une grande fraise au col. R/ Ecu couronné, tenu par deux lions. En dessous, le bijou de la Toison d'or. Très rare. Très Beau. (duchy of Brabant, Philip IV, 1621-55, silver ducaton of 1624, Brussels mint, first type, piedfort of double weight. Obverse: Armored bust right in large ruffed collar; reverse: crowned arms supported by two lions, decorated with the jewels of the Golden Fleece. Very rare, very fine.)"

This type was struck intermittently 1623-36 for presentation.
