This specimen was lot 1889 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 35 (Winter Park, FL, May 2024), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 2 reales, 1734 E. Nice VF with rich toning throughout, full pillars and nearly complete cross, one clear date and parts of the other two dates showing." The fineness of the cobs was lowered from 0.931 to 0.917 in 1728. This two reales was struck in this alloy 1729-47 with assayer "E" noted for 1733-37.
