This specimen was lot 72114 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2024), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA. Cob 1/2 Real, 1684-P. Potosi Mint. Charles II. PCGS VF-35. A boldly struck and well detailed Cob, with clear three digit date. From the S.P. Rutherford Collection." The cob half reales generally did not bear assayers' initials. This type is listed for 1667-1701 fairly cheaply but it des not turn up often.

Specification: 1.69 g, 0.931 fine silver, this specimen 1.45 g.
