Künker Auction 439, lot 2288

This specimen was lot 2288 in Künker sale 439 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €15,000 (about US$20,636 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Karl VI., 1711-1740. Dukat 1712, Prag. GOLD. Von großer Seltenheit. Leichte Prägeschwäche, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Charles VI, 1711-40, ducat of 1712, Prague mint. Extremely rare, slightly weakly struck, very fine to extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1711-12 and is rare. This example realized nearly seven times the catalog value.
