Austria 1709 ducat Fr-333
This specimen was lot 2286 in Künker sale 439 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €5,500 (about US$7,566 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Joseph I., 1705-1711. Dukat 1709, Wien. GOLD. RR Kl. Probierspur am Rand, sehr schön +. Aus der Sammlung Kommerzialrat Dr. Herbert Wenzel, Wien. (Holy Roman Empire, Joseph I, 1705-11, ducat of 1709, Vienna mint. Very rare, mount mark on edge, very fine or better.)"
Numista states that this issue was struck at Hall but we side with the auctioneers, who say this is a Vienna product. It was struck 1705-11.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
