V.L. Nummus OG Floor Auction 20, lot 327

This specimen was lot 327 in V.L. Nummus OG Floor Auction 20 (Innsbruck, Austria, September 2022) where it realized €14,000 (about US$16,853 including buyer's fees). The catalog description noted, "Austria Holy Roman Empire (800/962 - 1806) Charles VI, Holy Roman Emperor (1711-1740) Taler 1712 Prague, finest certified by NGC. Ag. R NGC MS 62 TOP POP." This is one of the first thalers struck for Charles VI. It is rare. It is very similar to Dav-1067, which has the obverse legend "·SEMP·AV·".
