This specimen was lot 1141 in Jean Elsen sale 136 (Brussels, March 2018), where it sold for €110 (about US$162 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BELGIQUE, Royaume, Léopold Ier (1831-1865), Cu 5 centimes, 1848. BRAEMT F. avec point. Superbe à Fleur de Coin. (kingdom of Belgium, Leopold I, 1831-65, copper five centimes of 1848, with dot after BRAEMT F. Extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1833-42, 1847-61 and while readily available in worn condition, is rather scarce nice. The without dot variety is priced the same as the with dot variety shown here.
Recorded mintage: 1,845,000.
