This specimen was lot 10294 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $376. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Bavaria. 2 Taler, 1852. PCGS AU-55 Secure Holder." This type is the regular issue of 1849-56 and the only such that is reasonably common.
