Austria 1826-C thaler Dav-9
This specimen was lot 2034 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 150 CHF (about US$218 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835. Konventionstaler 1826 C, Prag. Vorzüglich. Feine Patina. (empire of Austria, Francis II (I), 1792-1835, thaler of 1826, Prague mint. Extremely Fine, Nicely toned.)"
This type was struck 1824-30 at Vienna ("A"), Kremnitz ("B"), Pague ("C", shown here), Günzburg ("G") and Karlsburg ("E") but is not rare. Thalers were struck to this weight standard until 1852.
