This specimen was lot 1641 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €1,800 (about US$2,426 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Josef II. 1765-1790. Konv.-Taler 1788, A, Wien. RR Feine Patina, winz. Kratzer, vorzüglich/Stempelglanz. (Holy Roman Empire, Joseph II, 1765-90, convention thaler of 1788, Vienna mint. Rare, fine patina, small scratches, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1781-90 but is rather scarce compared to the kronenthaler (Dav-1170) minted at the same time.
Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.
