Stephen Album sale 50, lot 860

This specimen was lot 860 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $390. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA: Francis I of Lorraine, 1745-1765, AR thaler, 1760-HA, Hall Mint, once lightly cleaned and retoned over time, AU, ex Almer H. Orr III Collection." This thaler was struck at the Hall mint 1751-65. Similar thalers were also struck at Kremnitz (KB), Prague (PR), Vienna (WI) and Karlsburg (CA).

Specification: 28.82 g, 0.875 fine silver.
