Künker sale 293, lot 1626

This specimen was lot 1626 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €600 (about US$809 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Maria Theresia, 1740-1780. Reichstaler 1744, Wien. Hübsche Patina, sehr schön. (Holy Roman Empire, Maria Theresia of Austria, 1740-80, thaler of 1744, Vienna mint. Beautiful patina, very fine.)"

This type, struck 1744-45, is somewhat scarce.
