Bohemia 1744 ducat Fr-53a
This specimen was lot 1371 in Jean Elsen sale 149 (Brussels, December 2021), where it sold for €2,600 (about US$3,521 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SAINT EMPIRE, Marie-Thérèse (1740-1780), AV ducat, 1744, Prague. D/ L'impératrice deb. à d., ten. un sceptre et un gl. cr. R/ Ecu dans un cartouche orné et couronné. Très rare Coups. Traces de monture. Très Beau. (Holy Roman Empire, Maria Theresia, 1740-80, gold ducat of 1744, Prague mint. Obverse: the empress stands, facing right, holding a scepter and an orb; reverse: crowned arms in an ornate cartouche. Very rare, nicks, traces of mounting, Very Fine.)"
This somewhat scarce type was struck at Prague 1743-45. Later types featuring her bust and that of her husband Francis (KM 751, KM 756) are very common.
