Steve Album sale 54, lot 2378

This specimen was lot 2378 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA: Leopold I, 1657-1705, AR 15 kreuzer, Graz, 1675, initials IAN, struck with roller dies, lightly toned obverse, XF." This type was struck at Graz 1675-82, 1689 and 1694 and is common. It was superseded by KM 1375, with a larger bust of the emperor. Other fifteen kreuzer of 1675 include KM 1170 (Vienna mint), KM 1211 (St. Veit mint), KM 1280 (St. Veit mint) and KM 1281 (St. Veit mint). One thaler was ninety kreuzer in the late seventeenth century.
