Künker Auction 426, lot 3103

This specimen was lot 3103 in Künker Auction 426 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €320 (about US$453 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HABSBURGISCHE ERBLANDE-ÖSTERREICH · RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Erzherzog Leopold V., 1619-1632. Reichstaler 1628 (Jahreszahl im Stempel aus 1626 geändert), Hall. Winz. Randfehler, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, archduke Leopold V, 1619-32, thaler of 1628, Hall mint, 1628/6 overdate. Light rim bumps, very fine to extremely fine.)"

Austrian thalers for 1628 include KM 354/Dav-3136 (Prague), KM 355/Dav-3143 (Kuttenberg), and KM 356/Dav-3141 (Joachimsthal), KM 599/Dav-3091 (Vienna), KM 600/Dav-3091A (Vienna), KM 628/Dav-3108 (Graz), KM 629.2/Dav-3338 (shown here), KM 678/Dav-3124 (St. Veit), KM 700/Dav-3148 and KM 267.4/Dav-3353 (Ensisheim). This type was struck 1628, 1630 and 1632 and is common.
