This specimen was lot 74518 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Anhalt-Bernburg. 1/6 Taler, 1752-IHS. Bernburg Mint. Victor II Frederick. NGC AU-53. A pleasing specimen, delivering good details, with only slight signs of wearing on the highest design elements." Thalers from eighteenth century Anhalt are very rare so collectors make do with the minors. This type was struck 1746, 1750 and 1752.
