This specimen was lot 933 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 39 (Winter Park, FL, May 2026), where it sold for $4,500. The catalog description[1] noted, "ANGUILLA, "Liberty" dollar, July 11 1967 countermark on a British trade dollar, 1911, extremely rare. Bold incuse countermark on lustrous XF+ host, reportedly one of only two known with this host type, in fact the rarest host of the entire production, which was basically a publicity stunt by the editor of the San Francisco Chronicle to turn 11,600 available silver crowns into redeemable collectibles, of which only a couple thousand hit the market, the rest melted."
