This specimen was lot 1291 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $285.60. The catalog description[1] noted, "AFGHANISTAN: Amanullah, 1919-1929, AV ½ amani, SH1304, EF to About Unc." Half an amani was equal to five Afghan rupees. This issue was struck SH 1304-1306. It is dated using the Solar Hegira calendar, which starts on the same date as the traditional Hegira calendar but uses solar years rather than lunar years.
