This specimen was lot 33003 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2024), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "AFGHANISTAN. 2-1/2 Rupees, SH 1302 (1923). Kabul Mint. Amanullah. PCGS EF-40. A charming representative, displaying limited signs of actual wear, and a charming allotment of retained details." This type was struck SH 1298-1303 and is very scarce in collectible condition. Most of the appearance of wear comes from a weak strike and bad dies.
