This specimen was lot 1286 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $595. The catalog description[1] noted, "AFGHANISTAN: Amanullah, 1919-1929, AR 2½ rupees, [Kabul], SH1300, superb example, very rare in this condition, PCGS graded MS63, R." This type was struck SH 1298-1303. It is dated using the Solar Hegira calendar, which starts on the same date as the traditional Hegira calendar but uses solar years rather than lunar years.

Specification: 22.92 g, 0.900 fine silver.
