This specimen was lot 3082 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY: Federal Republic, AR 5 deutsche mark, Stuttgart, 1951-F, a stunning proof quality example! PCGS graded Proof 67 DCAM, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." This type was struck for the Bundesrepublik 1951, 1956-74 at Munich (D), Stuttgart (F, shown here), Karlsruhe (G) and Hamburg (J). There are plain edge errors (KM 112.2) for various dates.
Recorded mintage: 24,000,000 plus 280 proofs.
Specification: 11.2 g, 0.625 fine silver, 29 mm diameter, lettered edge.
