Jean Elsen sale 141, lot 833

This specimen was lot 833 in Jean Elsen sale 141 (Brussels, June 2019), where it sold for €460 (about US$610 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BELGIQUE, Royaume, Léopold Ier (1831-1865), Cu 1 centime, 1849. Fleur de Coin. (kingdom of Belgium, Leopold I, 1831-65, copper one centime of 1849. Uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1832-63 with this subtype commencing in 1835.

Recorded mintage: 1,218,000, a better date.

Specification: 1.8 g, copper.
