Künker sale 335, lot 3541

This specimen was lot 3541 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €40 (about US$52 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BAYERN, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1623 KURFÜRSTENTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH: Maximilian III. Joseph, 1745-1777. 10 Kreuzer 1756, München. Min. justiert, fast vorzüglich. (Germany, electorate of Bavaria, Maximilian III Joseph, 1745-77, ten kreuzer of 1756, Munich mint. Minor adjustment marks, about extremely fine.)"

This type, the first of its denomination, was struck 1754-58 and is fairly common. The denomination was issued steadily until the end of the century. One convention thaler was 120 kreuzer.
