This specimen was lot 10039 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €1,320 (about US$1,375). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Skilling, ND (1517-1525). Visby Mint. Christian II. NGC AU-58. A sublime piece struck by Søren Norby, whose name can be seen on the obverse. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." At this time one gulden was 48 skilling. The specie daler would not appear until later.
