This specimen was lot 10047 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €2,040 (about US$2,126). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Mark, 1535. Roskilde Mint. Christian III. NGC AU-50. Struck by Christian III as he besieged Copenhagen, the Roskilde coinage was struck to pay his German mercenaries. This example clearly didn't circulate much before ending up in the collection of L. E. Bruun." At this time, one gulden was three mark.
