The first specimen was lot 2252 in Goldberg sale 93 (Los Angeles, September 2016), where it sold for $188. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mexico. 4 Reales, 1845/4-Go PM NGC About Unc. Cap and rays. NGC graded About Uncirculated, Details (Reverse Damage)." Ten mints (Mexico City, Guanajuato, Zacatecas, Potosi, Oaxaca, Hermosillo, Real del Catorce, Guadalupe y Calvo, Guadalajara and Culiacan) struck this type of which Guanajuato is tied with Zacatecas as the commonest mint.
