This specimen was lot 500 in Sincona sale 78 (Zurich, October 2022), where it sold for 225 CHF (about US$270 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Nicholas I. 1825-1855, 25 Kopecks 1851, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB PA. Extremely fine. Nicely toned." This type is listed for 1832-58 and was emitted in substantial quantities at St. Petersburg and Warsaw. This date is common. The assayer is Paul Alexiev; assayer Nicolai Iossa is also reported for this date.
Recorded mintage: 2,400,000 (including assayer HI).
Specification: 5.18 g, 0.868 fine silver. This specimen is 5.23 g.
