This specimen was lot 1194 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "BIAFRA: Republic, 2½ shillings, 1969, a fantastic example, NGC graded MS66. Tied for finest graded at NGC." The suppression of the Biafran revolt was carried out with the maximum destruction of property and life and the region is today part of Nigeria.
Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.
