This specimen was lot 1271 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $66. The catalog description^[1] noted, "BIAFRA: Republic, 3 pence, 1969, a lovely example, PCGS graded MS63." Biafra herself lasted as a nation for just under three years, as independence was declared from Nigeria in 1967, only to have the uprising quelled in early 1970. The suppression of the Biafran revolt was carried out with the maximum destruction of property and life.

Recorded mintage: unknown but somewhat scarce.
